Result: The highest-ARPU version of your AI product.
07 · AI iOS Apps
iOS is a smaller share of Indian devices but a much larger share of Indian in-app spend. If your product is subscription-led or aimed at a premium audience, iOS usually pays for itself first.
The problem
Apple's review process is strict about AI apps — content moderation, data disclosure and subscription mechanics all get scrutinised. Getting that wrong costs weeks.
What we build
Each one is a page of its own — pick the closest match, or tell us your problem and we'll point you at the right one.

Reflective prompts, mood tracking and gentle AI insight, built with on-device processing so private entries stay private.
Result: A category iOS users reliably pay for.
Conversational practice with a patient AI partner that corrects pronunciation and adapts difficulty in real time.
Result: Speaking practice without needing a human tutor.
Photograph a room and see it restyled, refurnished or repainted — with your own product catalogue mapped in.
Result: Customers see it before they buy it.
Conversational product discovery, visual search from a photo, and personalised recommendations inside your store app.
Result: Discovery that works even when the customer cannot name what they want.
Your app's AI features become available by voice and inside Apple Shortcuts automations across the user's device.
Result: Your app becomes part of how the user works, not another icon.
What you get
How it's built
We pick tools per project rather than forcing every client onto the same stack. If something in your business already works, we build around it instead of replacing it.
In depth
In India, iOS is a small share of devices and a large share of app spending. If you are building a paid AI tool rather than an ad-supported consumer app, that inversion is a reason to build here first.
The instinct in India is Android first, and for anything ad-supported or mass-market that instinct is right. For a subscription tool it frequently is not.
An Android launch gets installs and a large free tier you have to fund with real model costs. An iOS launch gets fewer users, a much higher proportion of whom pay, and considerably less compute burned on people who never will.
For an AI product, where every free user has a running cost, that difference decides whether the first six months are a business or an expense. We would launch iOS, prove the pricing, then port.
| Build | Best-fit audience | Why iOS suits it |
|---|---|---|
| iOS AI assistant app | Professionals, niche verticals | Willingness to pay, Shortcuts ecosystem |
| AI journaling & wellness | Consumers, privacy-conscious | On-device processing, CloudKit sync |
| AI language learning | Professionals, students | Paid audience, good microphones |
| Interior & room visualiser | Furniture, paint, interiors retail | LiDAR on Pro devices, premium buyers |
| Shopping assistant | Retail and D2C brands | Higher order values on iOS |
| Siri & Shortcuts integration | Anyone with an existing iOS app | Reach outside the app itself |
Apple has become explicit about this. An app that is a text box in front of a public model, with no distinct function of its own, gets rejected under the minimum functionality guideline, and clients are consistently surprised by it.
The defence is not a better submission note. It is a product with a specific job — an assistant that knows one industry's terminology and formats, a tool built around one workflow, something that uses the device in a way a website could not.
We ask for that positioning in one sentence before design starts. If it cannot be stated, the project is not ready, and hearing that in week one is considerably cheaper than hearing it from App Review in month five.
Recent iPhones run capable models locally, and Apple's own frameworks are available. For an AI app this gives three things at once: instant responses on short tasks, no per-request cost, and a privacy claim that is literally true.
The limits are real — summarising, rewriting, classification and short answers work well locally; complex reasoning, long context and current information do not.
The right architecture routes by task rather than choosing one. Users notice the speed; you notice the invoice. For the journaling and wellness category specifically, on-device is not an optimisation — it is the reason the product is trustworthy at all.
Apple takes 30%, or 15% under the Small Business Program below $1M in annual revenue, which covers most first-year apps. Digital subscriptions must go through StoreKit; routing around it is a reliable way to be removed.
You need your own Apple Developer account in your company's name, which requires a D-U-N-S number for an organisation account and can take a week or two to obtain. We start that at kickoff because it is a common cause of delay at submission.
And the paywall deserves more engineering attention than it usually gets. When it appears, what it offers and how the annual plan is anchored will move revenue further than any model improvement. We build it as remote configuration so it can be tested without shipping an update.
Ten to eighteen weeks depending on the build, from ₹4,00,000 to ₹5,50,000. Siri and Shortcuts integration on an existing app is smaller — three to six weeks from ₹1,50,000.
You receive the app on your Developer account, the backend on your cloud, StoreKit subscriptions, App Store assets and privacy labels, and full source. We handle submission including the privacy questionnaire, whose answers appear publicly on your listing and must match what the app actually does.
FAQ
For India-focused consumer volume, Android. For subscription revenue, premium B2B or an international audience, iOS. If you need both immediately, we usually recommend Flutter with a native shell.
Yes, if content moderation, age rating, privacy labels and subscription terms are handled correctly from the start. We build to those requirements rather than discovering them at rejection.
